Community Health and Well-Being Internship
The Intersection of Healthcare and Public Health
Trinity Health Michigan Community Health & Well-Being (CHWB) is a national leader in Community Impact by removing barriers to care and well-being, ensuring access and reducing health disparities for people experiencing poverty and other vulnerabilities. We do this by integrating social and clinical care, addressing social needs, confronting systematic racism, building community capacity and partnerships, strengthening community benefit impact and reducing health inequities.
An internship at Trinity Health Michigan within CHWB will allow students to apply knowledge gathered through their studies and prior experience to support various projects focused on those who are poor and vulnerable.
Projects with the Community Health & Well-Being department are designed to complement undergraduate or graduate studies, aiming to enrich students’ knowledge and experience in various areas, thereby contributing to the advancement of public health, healthcare administration, health equity, social care and workforce development.
Trinity Health Michigan will provide a framework for assigning eligible students from diverse academic backgrounds to the appropriate CHWB department across the state where the student’s educational experience can be enhanced through capacity building opportunities.
