Tara Valentine, CNP, AE-C, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She completed her Master of Science as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Tara has clinical interests in childhood asthma, allergy control and management, and childhood obesity and management. She is a certified asthma instructor.

My children have been seeing Tara for 7 years and we could not have asked for a better NP! Her presence is so calm and welcoming and her tone always makes me and my young children feel very comfortable. Tara truly listens to any questions or concerns, provides wonderful resources if needed and will follow up with you. I am so thankful we are able to trust and feel comfortable with Tara.

Dr. Valentine is wonderful! Her presence is warm and welcoming and her tone is amazing when talking to parents and children. She always makes me and my very young children feel very comfortable. She is very helpful, provides wonderful resources and truly listens to my questions and any concerns I have.

Tara was amazing with my daughter. So thoughtful to the point my daughter wanted her to be the one to give her the flu shot.

Tara was great with my youngest, whom the appointment was for. What I was particularly pleased about, however, was her demeanor toward my four-year-old, allowing her to “help” with her sister’s check-up and engaging with her while she attended to the baby. This extra touch helps make my kiddos feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Plus, she thought it was great fun!

She was always asking if he was in pain or if it was to much

She was kind and patient as he was being super silly. She listened to what I had to say and asked me questions for clarity and gave feedback as needed!
